Metadot Das Keyboard

Due to the sheer enormity of different computer keyboards presently on the market, we generally don't accept offers to review these input devices unless it possesses any innovative or unique traits. Over the last couple of months, we've looked at entirely aluminum keyboards, LED and EL-wire based keyboards, and even a keyboard that illuminated when a cellular telephone in the near vicinity would ring. However, the keyboard we have in front of us today may be simple in design but its build quality and features are like nothing else we've ever come across. Although the Das Keyboard doesn't offer any jaw-dropping aesthetic items unlike the prototype Optimus (OLED) Organic LED keyboard the Das Keyboard may very well be one of the most functional computer keyboards currently on the market. Without further ado, we present the Das Keyboard designed by Daniel Guermeur.

Receiving the Das Keyboard, it simply had been shipped in a properly fitted cardboard container that wasn't much bigger than the actual size of the keyboard itself. Right now, a large majority of the orders are being taken online through the company's website, which is why we believe they haven't yet invested in retail packaging. Accompanying the keyboard was a thank you message for ordering the unit as well as a document containing the installation instructions, FCC declaration, and warranty notice. Although the Das Keyboard uses a native USB interface, no PS/2 adapter was included. Daniel Guermeur believed the keyboard was amazing in all aspects, thus it was named Das Keyboard, which is German for "The Keyboard".
