Another day at IDF, another morning of keynotes. The second morning of the Fall 2007 Intel IDF was focused on mobility and ultra mobility. Among the announcements today was the announcement of the Mobile Internet Device Innovation Alliance, a horde of new Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) and Ultra Mobile PCs (UMPCs), and talk of Moorestown. Intel's Moorestown Platform will bring latest process benefits to the CPU, graphics, video, and memory controllers while offering a 10x reduction in the idle power consumption. Mark Shuttleworth also made a surprise appearance today on stage to talk briefly about Ubuntu on Mobile devices and Moblin. We'll provide more coverage later in the day.
