Mir

Mir is the display server developed by Canonical to compete with Wayland and ultimately succeed the X.Org Server. Mir is in production use on Ubuntu Touch while it's expected to be used by default in the Ubuntu 14.10 Linux release. The Mir Display Server was announced in 2013.
