There is less than one month to go until openSUSE Leap 42.2 will be officially released while today marks the RC1 availability.

OpenSUSE 42.2 RC1 is shipping this morning with KDE Plasma 5.8.1, various GNOME package updates, the latest Linux 4.4 LTS kernel point release, and various other package updates.
