Many XFS file-system changes can be found in the upcoming Linux 4.6 kernel release.

Dave Chinner sent in the XFS updates over night for the Linux 4.6 merge window and it's a heavier pull than normal.

XFS in Linux 4.6 now supports error propagation for direct I/O failures, new quota interfaces, locking fixes for real-time device extent allocation, a reduction of duplicated information in the XFS and VFS inode, a buffer flag clean-up, a reworking of the writepage code, DAX related fixes, reworking of the remount option parsing, compile-time verification of the on-disk format structure sizes, and a wide variety of other fixes.
