Wine's Direct3D to OpenGL translation layer will now default to using OpenGL 4.4 contexts rather than legacy OpenGL contexts.

The change was made yesterday by CodeWeavers' Henri Verbeet for defaulting to GL 4.4 contexts. Most Linux GPU drivers out there aside from when using outdated hardware are capable of OpenGL 4.4.

The Wine D3D development progress can be tracked here.
