The Ubuntu Online Summit Begins Tomorrow For The Xenial Xerus

The Ubuntu Online Summit for developers and contributors to Ubuntu Linux begins tomorrow and runs through Thursday as planning gets underway for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, a.k.a. the Xenial Xerus.

The Ubuntu Online Summit runs from 3 November to 5 November and can be monitored via summit.ubuntu.com.

On Tuesday some of the talks include how-to write an Ubuntu app with QML, EFI capsule updates, planning for the Ubuntu Music App, a Unity 8 convergence show and tell, and Kubuntu Xenial planning.

Plans for Wednesday include Qt planning, developer desktop plans, Ubuntu Cloud benchmarking, moving toward Python 3 defaults, Jane Sibler's Q&A, Plasma Mobile talk, and Unity 8 planning.

Ending this latest UOS installment on Thursday is a convergence Q&A, more information on Ubuntu Scopes, future UOS plans, porting apps/software to Snappy, and game development for the Ubuntu Phone.
