SDDM 0.12.0 provides working Wayland sessions suppor, but with the actual greeter still running on X.Org. Support for the SDDM greeter running on Wayland is expected for the next release to provide a full Wayland experience.

Besides the Wayland sessions support, there's new sddm.conf configuration options, build changes, localization improvements, and bug fixes.

More details on SDDM 0.12.0 can be found via this announcement.
