KDE
The fourth beta release for KDE 4.0 is now available for testing. Work done for KDE 4.0 Beta 4 was largely for cleaning and polishing the KDE code-base. A few new features were added here and there, but one area in particular that received a lot of work was Plasma. Next up is the KDE 4.0 Release Candidate in preparation for the final KDE 4.0 release in the near future. The KDE 4.0 Beta 4 announcement is available from KDE.org. As we mentioned earlier this month, Phoronix will be covering the KDE 4.0 release party at Google.
