GNOME's Mutter Gets Native Monitor Hot-Plugging

Besides native OpenGL support for GTK+, another early change to look forward to with next year's GNOME 3.16 release is native monitor hot-plugging.

Jasper St. Pierre implemented monitor hot-plug support in its native back-end for the KMS/DRM monitor code so it's using Gudev for notifications when new monitors are hot-plugged, which from there the multi-monitor layout is dynamically updated.

That change to improve GNOME monitor hot-plugging for the GNOME window manager happened with this commit on Monday. GNOME 3.16 is expected for its stable debut in March of 2015.
