LINUX KERNEL --
The media pull request was submitted yesterday for the Linux 3.18 kernel.

Among the new media drivers and changes for Linux 3.18 include:

- A hix5hd2-ir IR transmitter driver. The hix5hd2 is HiSilicon's Hi3716cv200 board.

- The vivi virtual test driver was replaced by vivid, which is good enough to emulate most Video 4 Linux 2 (V4L2) devices and properly test many user-space applications.

- The SP2 common interface module was added for CIMaX SP2/SP2HF.

- The tc90522 is a front-end driver for the Toshiba ISDB-T/ISDB-S.

- The pts3 driver offers support for the ISDB-T/ISDB-S receiver cards. Pt3 contains a PCI bridge driver, DVB front-end driver, and two tuner drivers.

- tw68 is a PCI driver support for Techwell 68xx chipsets.

- Coda was added as a new platform driver.

- mxl301rf and qm1d1c0042 are new tuner drivers.

- The usbtv driver now supports audio.

- Other new hardware support.
