The OpenELEC 4.0 Linux distribution just took place and is powered by the newly-released XBMC 13 Gotham HTPC software.

The HTPC-focused OpenELEC brings a lot of changes to its latest major release besides upgrading the principal multimedia software that makes up the distribution (XBMC). OpenELEC 4.0 has migrated over to using systemd, pulls in all of the very latest open and closed-source Linux graphics drivers, is powered by the Linux 3.14 kernel, finally supports UEFI hardware installs, has updated support for the Raspberry Pi, and there's a ton of other changes throughout.

More details on OpenELEC 4.0 can be found via its official release announcement over at OpenELEC.tv.
