For those still having to rely upon Wine to run your favorite Windows games or other applications, the 1.6.1 stable release is now available if you're not running Wine 1.7 for all the latest goodies.

Wine 1.6.1 just delivers on bug-fixes and translation updates -- as is usual for Wine stable point release updates. Officially, Wine 1.6.1 takes care of 58 known bugs. The bugs squashed range from iTunes issues to running the League of Legends game, allowing GameShield/SoftwareShield protected games and applications to work, to all sorts of other application/game-specific work.

More details on the specific changes found in Wine 1.6.1 come from WineHQ.org.
