LINUX KERNEL
The second release candidate for the Linux 3.10 kernel is now out there. Torvalds released 3.10-rc2 on Monday with a few extra pulls that he wouldn't have accepted later on in the release cycle.

Linus Torvalds explains that the Linux 3.10-rc2 kernel is not unreasonably sized, but did get some arch updates and various driver and file-system updates. For the most part, the changes are small.

The Linux 3.10-rc2 release announcement can be read on the Linux kernel mailing list. For those unfamiliar with the Linux 3.10 features, see its biggest changes in years.
