Left 4 Dead 2 is going to be released as beta next week on Linux by Valve!

One year after I was playing the initial Linux port at Valve's headquarters, Valve will next week be releasing the initial public beta of the popular Left 4 Dead 2 game to Linux customers.

The Linux support comes along side the game developers working on support for L4D2's Extended Mutation System.

More details on the imminent Left 4 Dead 2 Linux release can be found by this L4D.com blog post.

Next up, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for Linux?
