While Qt 5.0 is hopefully being released in December, Digia has announced today the release Qt 4.8.4.

After going through a few release candidates, Digia has gone ahead and released the Qt 4.8.4 tool-kit point release with a slew of bug-fixes. There's over 170 improvements including five X11/Linux-specific fixes, 41 fixes to the Qt GUI module, 22 fixes for the tools, and other changes throughout. Even with the large churn in fixes, Qt 4.8.4 remains API/ABI compatible with earlier Qt 4.8 releases.

"Qt 4.8.4 is a solid release we recommend all active projects to take into use," reads the Digia Qt blog post. The release notes on the Qt4 update are available from Digia.com.
