PHORONIX --
With being so much into open-source/Linux quantitative performance benchmarking, it should be no surprise that I'm also into statistics and all sorts of numbers...

Here are some random statistics I was looking at tonight and I figured worth sharing.

First up is a look at the number of original news articles posted each month since March 2006. While Phoronix launched in June of 2004, at first I focused mostly on hardware reviews rather than posting open-source/Linux news, etc. Some early articles were also lost in the conversion of the in-house PHXCMS content management system.

As some other fun stats, for all the Phoronix traffic this year, 45% of the visitors were from Chrome while 40% were from Firefox, 5.97% from Safari, 2.48% from Internet Explorer, and 1.84% from Opera.

Based on the operating system when Phoronix readers are viewing the site, 39% are from Linux, 32% from Windows, 16% from Android, 6% from OS X, and 5% from iOS.

Well, hopefully you found these stats insightful for one reason or another. Don't forget to help the site if you enjoy all of the content on here -- that's often exclusive -- over the past eleven years.
