LINUX KERNEL --
The fifth weekly test release to the Linux 4.7 kernel is now available for testing.

As of writing this article, Linus Torvalds has yet to send out an official 4.7-rc5 announcement but it's available for those interested in the latest installment of the kernel that's codenamed the Psychotic Stoned Sheep.

If you are not familiar with Linux 4.7 kernel features, see our kernel feature overview. In addition to the benchmarks done here at Phoronix.com, daily Linux 4.7 kernel tests on Ubuntu and Fedora are done daily over at LinuxBenchmarking.com with our automated test farm.

Linux 4.7 should be officially released in mid to late July followed by the Linux 4.8 kernel cycle that we're already looking forward to seeing.
