LINUX KERNEL --
The HID changes for the Linux 4.10 kernel have been submitted and includes new hardware support.

The Linux 4.10 HID work includes a sensor-hub fix to support the Microsoft Surface 3 (other Surface 3 work landed in Linux 4.8) as well as supporting multi-touch data with the Surface 3. Surface 4 HID support was also added for this kernel cycle.

Also notable is that the Wacom MobileStudio Pro class of drawing tablets will be supported by Linux 4.10. Other new hardware support includes the uDraw PS3 tablet, support for the Sony PlayStation 4 dongle, and more. There are also fixes to the Sony HID driver, other Wacom driver work, and more.

More details on the HID feature changes for Linux 4.10 via this pull request sent in just hours ago by maintainer Jiri Kosina.
