Jonathan Riddell has announced the KDE Neon User LTS Edition availability. Rather than tracking the bleeding-edge KDE developments as KDE Neon traditionally does, the User LTS Edition tracks Plasma 5.8 LTS.

The KDE Neon User LTS Edition will track KDE Plasma 5.8, which is the first Plasma 5 Long-Term Support release, which will see bug-fixes and improvements for a period of 18 months. This will not switch over to Plasma 5.9 when that's available but will continue tracking the LTS releases.

This User LTS Edition also has the latest KDE Applications, the latest KDE Frameworks, and Qt 5.7. They also intend to ship Linux kernel and Mesa stable release updates too.

More details on this new KDE Neon edition via Jonathan Riddell's blog.
