Tests were done from the Intel Core i5 6600K state when running with the stock Ubuntu 15.04 64-bit environment compared to Mesa's 11.0 branch as of today and the DRM-Next state as of today with building up the changes to be pushed during the Linux 4.3 merge window.
Here's just three common open-source OpenGL tests. As mentioned in previous articles, the Intel Mesa driver is still exposing OpenGL 3.3 for Mesa 11.0 compared to OpenGL 4.1 for NVC0 and RadeonSI.
The OpenBenchmarking.org result file for this data is 1508269-HA-INTELHDGR46.
There are some performance improvements to note, but you'll need to wait for the full, featured article for all of the results (tests are still ongoing so this is just a teaser and to solicit and feedback/requests from premium members) for future articles. There's also a lot of interesting open-source Radeon Git tests forthcoming too. Stay tuned!
