The GLX_EXT_libglvnd extension for the X.Org Server's GLX is now within the xorg-server code-base for the upcoming 1.19 release series.

GLX_EXT_libglvnd returns a vendor library string to allow the GLVND library to select the correct OpenGL driver for an application/game depending upon its screen/hardware. This work also adds a new GlxVendorLibrary option for the xorg.conf if wanting to override the returned library string. This GLVND GLX extension is covered in more detail via this earlier article.

With the latest Git code, this extension has landed. In the xserver Git, GLX 1.4 is also now enabled unconditionally plus there are a number of other GLX fixes/improvements.
