An Israeli company known as EZchip has introduced their TILE-Mx processors that ship in up to 100-core 64-bit ARM configurations with up to 200 Gigabit Ethernet throughput.

The Ezchip TILE-Mx100 packs in 100 ARMv8 64-bit cores in one chip to claim the "best power/performance ratio" in what they're initially designing it for high-performance networking applications and network virtualization.

Before getting too excited about the prospects of many core ARM chips, the EZcip TILE-Mx100 isn't even scheduled to begin sampling until the second half of 2016.

The soft announcement for the EZchip TILE-Mx series can be found via today's press release.
