CrossOver 16 Launches, Powered By Wine 2.0 & Supports Office 2013

CodeWeavers has finally accomplished their four year old mission of supporting Microsoft Office 2013 on Mac and Linux via their Wine-based Crossover software. CrossOver 16 rolls out today with Office 2013 support among other changes.

CodeWeavers' CrossOver 16 is powered by the Wine 2.0 code-base, supports Microsoft Office 2013, adds 64-bit support, better support for Quicken, bottle importing improvements, audio improvements, and more. The Office 2013 support isn't wrapped up but they are still working on Project/Visio/Outlook enhancements moving into 2017. CodeWeavers will also focus more on DirectX 11 and Crossover Android support in 2017. They originally hoped to see D3D11 and Android support ready by the end of 2016, but unfortunately that didn't work out.
