A set of "fixes" to the AMDGPU kernel driver were mailed out today that include a few notable changes for some post merge window alterations.

The AMDGPU driver with Linux 5.12 is bringing Radeon RX 6000 series "OverDrive" overclocking support among other big Linux 5.12 improvements. With this new round of fixes given that it's still early in the merge window there are some interesting bits:

- "Handle new NV12 SKU" - This change is in reference to Navi 12 coming to market and doesn't support Video Core Next (VCN) video support as it's going to be a headless SKU. Details on this headless Navi 12 SKU remain light and haven't heard anything about it recently from AMD. This may be similar to the previously reported on Navi 10 "Blockchain" graphics card. That "blockchain" SKU added to the Linux driver at the end of last year also disabled the DCN and VCN driver paths since it's obviously headless. Given NVIDIA just announced their CMP mining cards perhaps AMD will soon be announcing these Navi 1x Bitcoin mining SKUs...

- The other noteworthy change/fix is BACO (Bus Active, Chip Off) run-time power management now being enabled for the Radeon RX 6000 series with the Sienna Cichlid and Navy Flounder families.

Those changes and a few other minor fixes are part of this fixes pull request heading to Linux 5.12.
