PHORONIX TEST SUITE
OpenBenchmarking.org crossed the milestone this afternoon of serving more than twenty million test profile and test suite downloads for open-source, automated benchmarking via the Phoronix Test Suite.

OpenBenchmarking.org isn't only the place you may know for hosting results that decide to be uploaded publicly to our benchmark comparison and archiving platform but is also the repository from where the Phoronix Test Suite automatically downloads new test profiles and test suites.

Since Phoronix Test Suite 3.0-Iveland when OpenBenchmarking.org made its premiere as the successor to Phoronix Global, there have been more than 20,000,000 test and suite downloads! This isn't even the total extent to the benchmarking via the Phoronix Test Suite with that number not accounting for the many organizations relying upon Phoromatic for their own local LAN/intranet cache of tests or those caching and distributing all of the test profile meta-data via other means. This also doesn't count any pre-OpenBenchmarking.org data from Phoronix Test Suite 1.x/2.x when tests/suites were distributed as part of the PTS package.

Over the course of the 20 million test downloads, there have been more than 10 million searches on OpenBenchmarking.org, 1.15 million public benchmark results, 919 tests/suites, and a plethora of other data. It was only in late July when crossing 19 million downloads. Thus the average this summer is OpenBenchmarking.org serving around ~13.3k test/suite downloads on a daily basis.

I'm still working on many more feature and UI improvements to OpenBenchmarking.org that I hope to have completed in step with the Phoronix Test Suite 7.0 debut in 2017. Stay tuned!
