Arch Linux, Clear Linux & Ubuntu Against Windows 10/11 On Intel Rocket Lake
Zstd compression tended to be faster on the Linux distributions over Windows, especially around decompression performance at varying compression levels.
In many of the benchmarks the best performance was with Intel's own Clear Linux distribution due to its aggressive compiler defaults, P-State performance by default, and a variety of patches and other optimizations throughout the stack.
The LuxCore renderer on the CPU tended to deliver the fastest render times under Linux as we are used to seeing but there were a few scenes where LuxCore on Windows managed to run faster on this Core i9 11900K system.
