With the Go language benchmarks, the WSL performance was significantly slower than the Linux distributions running bare metal or Windows 10 Pro itself.

Or just with Golang's JSON parsing test, the WSL performance tended to be right in line with the raw performance of these Linux distributions.

The build performance on Windows 10 and WSL were slower than the bare metal Linux performance.

The garbage collection performance tended to be right in line on WSL with the raw OS performance. Clear Linux and Windows 10 itself were the fastest in this test.'

In the Java tests, to no real surprise, the performance tended to be about the same across all tested operating systems.
