Overall, the performance particularly for CPU-bound applications with Windows 10's Linux subsystem appears to be quite competitive.

Again, the same GCC compiler and other binaries are being used between the Windows 10 tests and what's offered on Ubuntu 14.04 when installed bare metal.

Windows 10 seemed to fall back with the heavily OpenMP-using GraphicsMagick program.
