Running FS-Mark was a similar story to the PostMark data. Both forms of disk encryption yield a noticeable performance impact for disk intensive workloads while the full disk encryption led to less of a performance penalty than just encrypting the home directory.

For the FS-Mark tests the CPU usage was close between the two encryption methods.
