The Unigine Engine tests are the most demanding OpenGL tests used for this article. The high-end graphics cards were able to run these tech demos well and above 60 FPS when using the open-source R600g and RadeonSI Gallium3D drivers.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS is the first release where the open-source "RadeonSI" support for the GCN-era Radeon HD 7000 series and newer GPUs is in good shape.
