Preview Of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS vs. Ubuntu 12.10 Performance

There's nothing positive or negative to share out of several of the computational tests when comparing Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS to Ubuntu 12.10.

Building the Linux 3.1 kernel on Ubuntu 12.10 with GCC 4.7 took slightly longer than Ubuntu 12.04 with GCC 4.6.

C-Ray though does get a very dramatic performance boost out of GCC 4.7, as already shown in many Phoronix articles.
