Lenovo ThinkPad T60 - Intel Core Duo "Yonah"
Ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS: 38 seconds
Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS: 26 seconds
Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS: 23.01 seconds
Ubuntu 10.10: 30.25 seconds
Ubuntu 11.04: 26.76 seconds
Ubuntu 11.10: 29.49 seconds
Ubuntu 12.04: 29.99 seconds

The boot performance of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on the older Intel Core Duo "Yonah" notebook is also a setback. It took 30 seconds to boot Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, similar to Ubuntu 11.10, which is a noticeable slowdown from the 23-second boot speed in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. At least though Ubuntu 12.04 LTS can boot faster than the 6.06.1 Dapper Drake. The disk throughput was also at its best in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on the Linux 3.2 32-bit kernel.
