Starting with some Golang benchmarks, first up was the JSON parsing test. The Fedora 28 and Ubuntu 18.04 results were effectively the same while on some systems like the EPYC 7601 and Xeon Gold platforms the Clear Linux build was providing better performance.

In the Golang build test, Clear Linux was faster on all six systems -- on most of the systems, the difference was quite substantial compared to Fedora 28 and Ubuntu 18.04.

The Java performance was roughly the same across the three tested Linux distributions on these four Intel and two AMD systems.

The AVX-heavy Himeno pressure solver application saw a noticeable performance benefit with Clear Linux on the newer systems while for the older Broadwell Core i7 system and the AMD Zen systems there wasn't as much of a benefit in using Clear Linux. Between Ubuntu and Fedora there wasn't much change on these latest releases.
