In some of the Mad Max scenes, the Polaris and Vega graphics cards did see some performance boosts, but it is troubling to see the performance regressions on Linux 4.19 and Mesa 18.3-devel if you tend to use the bleeding-edge Radeon graphics driver components.

Even with the ancient OpenArena open-source game, the RX Vega 64 performance fell on the very latest driver stack.

Rise of the Tomb Raider saw performance improvements in moving to Ubuntu 18.10 on the newer Vega graphics card. This is thanks to RADV Vega improvements that happened this summer and at least the Git stack isn't causing any regressions for this Feral Linux game port that debuted earlier in the year.
