How Linux Performance Changed In 2017 With Clear Linux & Ubuntu

The GMPbench multi-precision arithmetic library benchmark didn't see any change in performance out of Ubuntu but with the newer Clear Linux release is about 7% faster than this time last year and about 5% faster than Ubuntu 18.04 LTS in its current form.

Onward with some Golang benchmarking...

Golang is running faster on these newer Linux distributions and as far as Ubuntu 18.04 vs. Clear Linux goes the performance is roughly the same but in some conditions siding slightly with the Intel Linux distribution.

Not much change with x264 or asmFish.
