First up are OpenGL benchmarks while later in the article are the Vulkan tests due to Ubuntu 17.10 out-of-the-box having broken RADV support with mesa-vulkan-drivers due to Ubuntu's Mir patches.

Going from the stock Mesa 17.10 drivers to Padoka PPA on Ubuntu 17.10 means with the RX 580 going from 80 to 87 FPS or from 116 to 123 FPS with the R9 Fury.

Civilization VI hasn't seen many changes recently with Mesa.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been fairly well optimized on Mesa going back to the 17.2 series, so currently switching to the 17.3 or 17.4-dev builds generally means just a few frames better performance.
