Running OCRMyPDF to perform optical character recognition on PDF documents did slow down by two seconds when on battery with Renoir, but with this test being multi-threaded the mid-range AMD laptop was still outperforming the high-end Intel EVO laptop by a wide margin.

With the Tesseract optical character recognition engine in pulling text off image files saw both laptops yielding slightly lower performance on battery.

Hugin is an open-source panorama photo stitching software package. The Ryzen 5 4500U did come out slightly slower on battery power but did beat the Core i7 1165G7 in performance from either power source.
