StarTech 42U Rack Cabinet Make For Nice Low-Cost, Rackmount Setups

Each 42U rack can accommodate up to 600 kilograms and measures in at 80 inches high (with casters) by 23.6 inches wide (allowing for standard rackmount items).

Within these three racks I've racked network switches, power strips, various 2U and 4U server cases, and a number of shelves too. I haven't encountered any problems with the installation of a variety of equipment in these racks.

Overall I'm very happy with these three StarTech.com 42U rack cabinets so far and they're panning out well so far in the building of the new server room, which should finally be complete in the coming days. In some follow-up articles I'll have some small reviews of some of the other components purchased for this new environment.
