SilverStone PS08: A Decent, Ultra Low-Cost Micro-ATX Case

This affordable PC chassis offers quick access fan filters, support for four expansion slots, standard ATX PSU compatibility, an included 120mm SilverStone intake fan, two 5.25-inch drive bays, four 3.5-inch disk drive bays, and one 2.5-inch SSD drive area. There's also USB 3.0 connectivity and on the rear of the chassis is space for an optional exhaust fan.

The case is compatible with micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards and made of a combination of high-strength plastic and a meshed front panel. The case obviously doesn't feel as strong as their higher-end models, but it felt rather reliable given its very low price tag. The dimensions on the SST-PS08B are 168 x 355 x 400 mm and the weight is 3.46 kilograms.

In assembling the systems with the PS08 enclosures, the only nuisance I ran across was that PCI / expansion slots are the clumsy breakout covers. Fortunately I really didn't need to use any expansion slots on the assembled systems but that was the only gripe I had during the building process was to see them rather than replaceable covers.
