Out of 103 benchmarks carried out, Windows 11 was in first place 35% of the time on this Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen2 with AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U processor. That put Windows 11 in second place while Intel's performance-optimized Clear Linux distribution was in first place most often with wins 51% of the time. The other Linux distributions all just racked up a few wins each. See all 103 tests in full over on OpenBenchmarking.org.

While Windows 11 had first place finishes 35% of the time, when it wasn't in first it tended to be near or at the back of the pack. Windows 11 was in last place most often at 49% of the time.

If taking the geometric mean across all of the benchmarks that successfully executed on all of the Linux distributions, it was effectively a tie. Windows 11 overall came out similar to the major Linux distributions at this high level. The outlier was Clear Linux running about 5% faster than the rest. Across the Linux distributions, these AMD Ryzen 7 PRO results were more stable than seen on the Intel side with the recent Tiger Lake benchmarking where Thermald and other factors between the distributions can play more of a (necessary) role performance. But whether you are running Windows or Linux, this Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen2 (20XF004WUS) continues holding up very well and performing great. More benchmarks from this laptop in other Linux configurations will be coming up soon on Phoronix.
