With the demanding Unigine benchmarks using OpenGL on both platforms, the AMD Radeon Software Windows driver was yielding slower Renoir performance than Linux 5.7 AMDGPU + Mesa 20.0 RadeonSI. Gaming tests weren't the focus of this article given gamers will find much better performance still using a dGPU solution.

The ParaView workstation data analysis and visualization software was surprisingly performing faster on Windows 10 than Ubuntu. Normally we see ParaView on Linux delivering better performance than Windows.
