The PyBench Python performance test is another example showing how the single-threaded performance of these new AMD processors is a very nice improvement over Zen/Zen+.

The Java performance is also a lot nicer on these new Zen 2 processors and much more competitive against Intel.

The single-threaded FLAC and MP3 audio encoding performance also now puts these new processors competing with the Core i9 9900K.

One area where the AMD CPUs still struggled against Intel is with the AVX-heavy Himeno pressure solver performance.
