Both servers saw faster OpenJDK performance with the Java Gradle Build test, but the 8280 2P server saw more of an improvement that led to widening the gap with Rome in this particular test.

Other Java benchmarks also saw noticeably better performance out of the newest software stack compared to running on Ubuntu 19.04, even with Ubuntu 19.04 and Ubuntu 20.10 daily both using OpenJDK 11 by default.

John The Ripper was seeing faster performance on the new software with Rome while the Intel Xeon performance regressed.
