With the MAFFT scientific test, the ODROID C1+ managed to still come out ahead. It will be interesting to see how the Raspberry Pi 3 compares to the 64-bit ODROID-C2 in a Phoronix comparison coming up shortly.

The Raspberry Pi 3 came out behind the ODROID C1+ and Orange Pi Plus (along with the NVIDIA Tegra boards) for Himeno. Here the higher clock speeds of those other development boards was likely more beneficial, but at least the RPi3 was running around twice as fast as the Raspberry Pi 2.

The Raspberry Pi 3 performance also comes off as a big upgrade with our OpenSSL benchmark.

For FLAC audio encoding, the ODROID C1+ managed to edge past the Raspberry Pi 3, but at least this $35 ARM board was still running much faster than the Raspberry Pi 2.
