For the Tesseract open-source game, the RadeonSI performance actually came out ahead for the HD 7950 and R7 370 while the R9 290 performance was just equal to Catalyst.

With Unigine Valley, the RadeonSI Gallium3D performance now exceeded that of Catalyst, but like for the Metro Redux games, there was better rendering quality with AMD's binary blob.

Xonotic offered great performance out of the RadeonSI Gallium3D driver that ended up being superior to the Catalyst Ubuntu 15.04 driver, except for the clock-crippled Radeon R9 285 Tonga.
