For Batman: Arkham Knight that runs on Linux by way of Steam Play with DXVK, the VRS 2x2 configuration led to a few extra frames per second being squeezed out of these RDNA2 cards...

DiRT Rally 2.0 meanwhile -- also running on Linux by way of Steam Play -- was seeing much greater advantages. With low quality settings was a ~20% speed-up for this racing game.

For high quality settings with DiRT Rally 2.0 was a 10% speed-up for the RX 6800 XT.

or in the case of ultra quality settings, about an 8% speed-up at the top-end. It will certainly be more interesting to see the VRS results for lower-end RDNA2 cards once launched.
