The Python performance is slightly faster with the 18.04 packages.

While the NGINX web server performance is in line with Ubuntu 16.04 SRUs but unfortunately much lower than in older Ubuntu releases.

While PHPBench is doing its best on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS thanks to using the PHP 7.2 release series, much faster than PHP5 or even the PHP 7.0/7.1 branches.

Coming up next will be a large, diverse system comparison from desktops to servers while comparing the Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 LTS performance followed by a larger Linux distribution comparison. Power consumption figures are also forthcoming.
