One of the tests where POWER9 was running much slower is with the Java-based Bork encryption task.

While in the Java-based DaCapo benchmarks, the POWER9 system was performing at least in line with the EPYC CPUs.

The dual 22-core POWER9 system was almost matching the dual Xeon Gold performance in Fhourstones.

The Numpy performance is another area where it would be beneficial for IBM engineers to further focus on for tuning the Linux performance for their processors.
