Starting with the Fhourstones computational test, there isn't much to look at with no major deviations in the results between platforms. The fastest operating system was CentOS 6.3 but its lead over the other BSD/Linux platforms was minimal.

For the BYYE Dhrystone 2 CPU performance, Solaris Express 11.1 was the slowest while CentOS 6.3 carried a small lead over Ubuntu. The Linux operating systems were faster than PC-BSD 9.1 and DragonFlyBSD 3.0.3 for the Intel Core i7 3960X Extreme Edition hardware.

The GraphicsMagick performance results ranged from being rather flat between the operating systems to the CentOS and Ubuntu Linux distributions carrying a lead over PC-BSD and Oracle's Solaris 11.1.
